My Guardians

My Guardians is experienced in selecting host families for international children and students. Our host families welcome children from abroad and take good care of them. Families offer a secure and friendly home environment and take a real interest in our children’s life.

We have many host families in and around Kent, Surrey, Sussex and beyond who take care of children attending private boarding schools in the UK. Children usually spend short exeats and half term holidays with them and travel back home during longer term holidays.

Children in our care are placed with specially selected host families whom are known personally to us and have undergone security checked, as required by the Children Act. We have regular contact with our families and value our relations. We often visit families in their own home and insist on high standards of accommodation and meals.

My Guardians takes great care to ensure that children in our care are placed somewhere they will feel at home and are treated as a member of the family. We ask our host families to include our children in outings and activities and take a real interest in their academic and social progress. We also explain to children what to expect in their host families. We regard the relations between our children and the host families as a very important part of their life in the UK. Host families and children in our care have access to our 24 hour helpline.

We prepare a profile of the host family for parents where we give information on the family and the accommodation available. The family must be able to provide a separate bedroom for a child. We take up professional and personal references and carry out all available checks on all our host families.

We are always looking out for people who are interested in acting as host families for international children attending boarding schools in Kent, Surrey, Sussex, London, Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex and beyond. If you are one of such people we hope that you will get in touch with us. We will then arrange to visit you in your home and will answer any of your questions.

As a host family you will have access to our 24 hour helpline. We pay in advance for the accommodation costs and reimburse for any other related expenses. All our host families are CRB checked.
